DISA- Formerly Occupational Drug Testing was established in 1994 with the goal of helping companies implement drug free workplaces. ODT’s founder, John Quintal, recognized that many employers were frustrated by the time and money it cost to send employees to clinics for random drug and alcohol testing. To eliminate that frustration, he created a fully functional mobile testing vehicle which could be used to administer on-site drug and alcohol tests. The mobile testing units were so well liked by the company’s early clients that Mr. Quintal has since built ten more drug and alcohol testing vehicles, bringing the fleet size to eleven.
After making the collection process easier for employers, Mr. Quintal attempted to learn about pain points related to how drug and alcohol testing programs are managed. He found that many businesses who fell under the umbrella of DOT drug and alcohol testing guidelines were unsure of whether they were in compliance. Some knew they were not in compliance, but did not have the resources to manage an effective program. Mr. Quintal hired and trained a team of program administrators who specialized in managing compliant and effective drug and alcohol testing programs. DISA- Formerly Occupational Drug Testing has been offering full service testing programs since 1997.
As DISA has brought on more clients with a variety of business needs they have added more quality services.
